The European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP) is the official voice of nearly 200 inland ports in 19 countries of the European Union, Moldova, Switzerland and Ukraine.
EUROPEAN COMMUNITY SHIPOWNERS’ ASSOCIATIONS
The European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), founded in 1965 under the name of “Comité des Associations d’Armateurs des Communautés Européennes (CAACE)”, is the trade association representing the national shipowners’ associations of the EU and Norway (close to 99% of the EEA fleet or about 20% of the world fleet).
FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN PRIVATE PORT OPERATORS
The Feport Secretariat is based permanently in Brussels and represents the interests of the maritime terminal operators and stevedoring companies located within the seaports of the European Union. The Secretariat works to ensure constant communication between the European institutions between the industry.
EUROPEAN SHIPPERS COUNCIL
The Council represents the vast majority of goods distributed by sea, road, rail, inland waterways and air. ESC, based in Brussels, acts as the “eyes and ears” for its member organisations – the national shippers’ councils – in respect of EU legislative activity.
EUROPEAN LIAISON COMMITTEE OF COMMON MARKET FORWARDERS
CLECAT is representing the interests of more than 19.000 companies employing in excess of 1.000.000 staff in logistics, freight forwarding and customs services. Multinational, medium and small freight forwarders and Customs agents are all within its membership, making the organisation the most representative of its kind.
EUROPEAN TUGOWNERS ASSOCIATION
Since its foundation in 1963, the “EUROPEAN TUGOWNERS ASSOCIATION” (ETA) has brought together and promoted the interests of the European owners and operators of tugs and tenders. The ETA today has a membership of 80 Full Members and 15 Associate Members. Full Members all are towage companies from 20 European countries serving in excess of 200 ports.
EUROPEAN MARITIME PILOTS ASSOCIATION
EMPA is a non-profit organization, created in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1963 by pilots of the newborn European Community. Nowadays EMPA regroups member countries associations
EUROPEAN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION OF SHIP BROKERS AND AGENTS
The Federation of National Associations of Shipbrokers & Agents (FONASBA) provides a united voice for the world’s shipbrokers and agents. Founded in 1969, the organisation promotes fair and equitable practices and ensures that the needs of our members are understood at both a governmental level and across the maritime industry.
EUROPEAN BOATMEN’S ASSOCIATION
The European Boatmen’s Association, E.B.A., was founded in Paris on 26 April 1977 based on the initiative of the national boatmen associations of Belgium, France, German, England, Italy and Holland.
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CITIES AND PORTS
The IACP is an international network of economic and political bodies representing port cities. The IACP is the only organisation, which furthers exchanges of information and contacts between the world of the city and that of the port. The IACP is a network for benchmarking and promoting the city-port, acknowledged by public authorities and international institutions.
CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR THE NAVIGATION ON THE RHINE
It promotes the development of close cooperation with the other international organisations working in the field of European transport policy and with non-governmental organisations active in the field of inland navigation.

EUROPEAN PORT COMMUNITY SYSTEMS ASSOCIATION
EPCSA was formed by six of the leading European Port Community Systems Association Operators to represent the interests of the Port Community Systems Operators in Europe. It was formed by SOGET, Le Havre, France; MCP, Felixstowe, UK; Portic, Barcelona, Spain; Portbase, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, Netherlands, dbh, Bremen, Germany and DAKOSY, Germany.
